Oasis Healthcare Group Limited is Kenya’s first and largest countrywide fully-integrated private healthcare system, registered in October 2015 and born out of the Oasis Group Practice model of health services provision to harmonize the various companies & facilities existing across the country under the Oasis umbrella.

We currently have facilities in the following counties: Kisii, Nyamira, Migori, Homa Bay, Siaya, Uasin-Gishu, Kitui, Nairobi, Kakamega, Bungoma and Busia

We seek to fill the following positions with qualified and dedicated individuals;

Job Title: Managers – Optometrist

Positions: 2

Location: Nyamira & Kisii

Vacancy No: OHGL/CLN/OPTO/1/2022

Overall Responsibility: Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services, the optometrist shall perform eye examinations to check for vision problems/diseases and prescribe or offer appropriate advice to patients while maintaining high standards of care.

Duties and Responsibilities shall include:

• Take eye and facial measurements to correctly interpret prescriptions


• Insert, remove and care for contact lenses


• Advise patients on any necessary repairs or adjustments


• Guiding patients when selecting frames for proper fit and styling


• Refer patients to board-certified ophthalmologists when required for more holistic eye care


• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures and Policies for the Eye clinic department


• Carry out proper book keeping; for tracking patient’s orders and recording purchases and other necessary information for each patient.

Job Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution


• At least one (1) year post internship experience as an optometrist


• High levels of Customer care skills.
