Job Description
Job Title: Pet Handler
Reports to: Operating Officer
Industry: Freight
Location: Nairobi
Gross Salary: 60,000
Job Purpose: Pet Handler will be in charge of the pet’s safety ensuring Pets relocation across is handled in care, latch secured and understanding the clearing and forwarding process of pets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Making sure all required vaccination shots are current, and all paperwork is in place
Confirming that all international requirements, including import permits at the destination, are met.
Ensures Airport Veterinary and Customs Clearing services.
Meeting pet at the destination airport and arranging a smooth transfer to designated location
Ensuring proper space for pet to stand (without touching the top of the cage), turn around and lie down in a natural position
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in any recognized field.
- Completion of an approved pet handler training program is an added advantage
- Proven experience working as a pet handler.
- The ability to handle different breeds and sizes of pets.
- An observant, alert, and patient disposition.
