Job Vacancy: Merchandiser / In-Store Promoter

Location: Nairobi Kenya
We are a leading Pharmaceutical Distributor, sourcing and supplying pharmaceuticals across all channels in East Africa.
We are seeking to hire In-Store Promoter / Merchandiser to join our dedicated team.
Role Summary: The Merchandiser / In- Store Promoter will ensure company products are visible by proper arrangement on the shelves as well as promoting the products to the consumers with an objective of closing a sale.
Main Roles
- Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and company’s objectives.
- Analyze sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock.
- Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors, and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities, and timescales.
- Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately.
- Produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves and inventory.
- Forecast profits/sales and plan budget.
- Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc.
- Build constructive customer relationships and team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals.
- Remain up to date with industry’s best practices.
- Promote Company’s over the counter products.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Nutrition, Marketing or any related course
- Proven working experience as a merchandiser is useful.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great team player
- Up to date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Attentive to detail
- Excellent presentation skills
