Job Description
Our client is one of the leading pharmacies in Nairobi.
They seek to hire a competent person in the role of Pharmacy Technician.
This role is based in Nairobi.
Responsibilities
- Interacting with customers and offering them advice and instructions
- Accurately and efficiently preparing prescription orders
- Verifying prescription information and dosage
- Entering patient and order information into the pharmacy system
- Providing quality customer service to patients and other healthcare providers
- Pricing and filling of prescriptions
- Completing patient paperwork related to the filling of prescription
- Stocking and pricing of medications in inventory
- Ensuring availability of drugs by delivering them to patients or facilities
- Maintaining pharmacy’s (and its patients’ employees’) safety by adhering to infection-control procedures, policies and regulations
- Regular stock-taking to ascertain quantities of drugs.
Qualifications and Key Competencies
- At least a Diploma in Pharmacy technology.
- Registration with Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- At least 3 – 4 years’ experience in a similar capacity in a busy organization.
- Must be computer literate
- Experience with using POS systems will be an added advantage
- Good customer service and communication skills
