Responsibilities


 







    • Prepare tender documents for public tender advertisement







    • Prepare and implement the Sacco procurement plans,







    • Suppliers’ prequalification,







    • Design and develop Request for Quotation/ Request for Proposal/ Expression of Interest for the solicitation of proposals and quotations,







    • Bid evaluation and award,







    • Contract management (work closely with user departments) and inspection support for goods and services,







    • Vendor appraisal and evaluation







    • Market price intelligence to maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing







    • Procurement capacity building through training of new and existing employees,







    • Research products and Services,







    • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors







    • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases







    • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts







    • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data







    • Create and maintain inventory of all incoming and current supplies







    • Maintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development







    • Develop product and service specification







    • Responsible for all Stores and Inventory control management






Qualifications







    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Procurement/ Supply Chain or Business-related Degree. Member with







    • Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supplies (CIPS) or Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) will be added advantage.
