Experience: 

At least 5 years  working experience as a Procurement Manager in a busy Manufacturing Company

Duties/Responsibilities:

Reporting to Business Planning Manager, the Procurement & Contract Manager will identify suppliers that can deliver goods and services in accordance with required specification, procure from and contract the appropriate suppliers, Check and ensure supplier compliance in terms of product & service delivery and invoicing. Other duties include:-

• Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.


• Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.


• Nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company.


• Identifies and researches potential new suppliers.


• Develop suitable contracts database for current and new suppliers.


• Receive requests from different sections and prepare purchase plans with a view of ensuring cost effectiveness, timely procurement and quality goods.


• Forecast procurement needs and establishing lead times for various commodities.


• Negotiate and agree on best prices, favourable credit and payment terms with the suppliers.


• Close collaboration with Tech & Ops when engaging Suppliers, technical matters in contracts and the tendering process (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, etc).


• Research on new products and services to meet company's goals.


• Assess total costs of company purchases.


• Develop and implements strategies for procurement processes; Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.


• Examine and test existing contracts.


• Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.


• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
