Job Summary
The Project Manager will be in charge of maintaining and enhancing our company relationships with its clients while supervising 10 skilled staff including the Warehouse Manager, Inventory Planning Manager, Warehouse Assistants and Inventory Planning Assistants.

Job Description
The incumbent will act as a focal point for our company and is responsible for managing the entire project.
Duty Station: Mogadishu, Somalia
Net Salary Range: USD 2500 to 3500
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop proper project plans, budgeting, mobilization of staff, allocation and scheduling of tasks, project plans resources and required Material Handling equipment as per the client requirements during the start-up of the project.
- Establish Standard operating procedures in all facets of warehouse management and in line with the goals and objectives of the client’s project.
- Responsible for training and identify capacity building requirements for the project staff.
- Sourcing and procurement of Warehouse Management systems that can be linked with the clients’ SAP.
- Responsible for scheduling the entire implementation based on the client’s specifications and requirement and in close liaison with the Warehouse Manager and Supervisors.
- Liaison and maintain regular communication with the client.
- Daily, weekly and monthly scheduling and planning based on the client’s tasks.
- Provide strategic guidance to the Warehouse Managers on all warehousing and supply chain management issues.
- Manage warehouse field operating teams consisting of warehouse managers, warehouse assistants, inventory assistants, among others.
- Analyze inventory consumption, identify trends and opportunities for optimization that will improve service levels and/or reduce carrying costs.
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy of all the project’s inventory control system, including storage, quality control, inventory record keeping, and inventory reporting.
- Represent the company’s interests during the planning and coordination of all project activities.
- Provide monthly managerial reports to the company Senior Management Teams.
- Provide monthly reports to the client detailing the performance and based on the 7 set KPIs.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of the project based on the set KPIs.
- Attend contractor performance review meetings as stipulated in the contract.
- Coach mentor and motivate all staff working in the warehouse.
- Review staff performance management of staff across the project locations and coordinate with TGL team working on the ground to ensure consistent service.
- Be the lead point of contact and build a solid professional relationship with the client and company. Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with all stakeholders.
Minimum requirements
Education
- BA in Business Administration with at least 10 years of experience in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, warehouse operations.
- The Project Manager must have Dangerous Goods handling certification, Occupational Safety Certification and relevant experience in cold chain operations.
Experience
- Over 10 years’ experience in managing, implementation, and evaluation of warehouse/logistics operations.
- Experience working in the field of Supply Chain Management, Field Mission Warehouse Management.
- Strong knowledge of International Standards and practices relating to Warehouse Management and Supply Chain.
- Prior work experience in contract management or account management role in Supply Chain and/or Warehousing is desirable.

- Strong verbal and written skills, and ability to convey complex information in a way that others can readily follow.
- Excellent negotiating and persuasive skills, both in one-on-one and group situations and at all levels of the organization.

- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on client needs.
- Keen attention to detail and adherence to stipulated deadlines
