Background
MSDP is a local NGO based in Mukuru Slums working with children, youth and women.MSDP in partnership with Horizont3000 are implementing a Child rescue and protection project which also reaches out to the Youth in Mukuru to nurture and develop talent in sports and Music.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Project Manager will provide leadership and coordination to the Children and Youth protect team. S/he will facilitate efforts aimed at increasing access and equity for street children, out of school and at risk children.This involves the establishment of an effective mechanism at the project levels to improve effectiveness, efficiency and accountability of the project. Specifically the Project Manager will work with the project schools and communities to implement the project interventions as per the agreed work plan. The Project Manager will also ensure the effective coordination of project interventions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•    Assist in the development of work plans and budgets and ensures these documents are submitted to management for approval in a timely manner;
•    Maintains high standards of accountability, effectiveness and efficiency through development of quality work plans and indicators of performance.
•    Supports the implementation of the approved project performance monitoring and evaluation plan;
•    Ensures timely submission of quality project monthly and quarterly technical reports to the Programmes Coordinator.
•    Maintains up-to-date records of documents, events and activities within the programme;
•    Oversee activities according to the work plan
•    Oversee Rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration of the children at risk.
•    Knowledge of children safeguarding

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development ,Education
•    Two years’ experience in project Management.
•    Experience working with Children.
•    Knowledge and experience working in informal settlements
•    Must demonstrate high levels of professionalism, integrity and interpersonal skills
•    Basic IT skills such as emails, Microsoft word and excel
•    Ability to work in cultural, ethnic, educational and religious diversity
