We are looking for an experienced Medical Detailer to develop, build and sustain our entry into the Family Planning and Reproductive Health in Kenya.

Your contribution

You will be responsible for the following:

Product Demand Creation
• Identification of Key Opinion Leaders (KoL).
KoL’s are an important aspect of pharmaceutical sales. Develop relationships with KoL’s and identify 2/3 KoL’s who are friendly towards reproductive health and would be willing to engage as KoL’s.
• Participation in industry events
Identification and participation in relevant pharmaceutical marketing events across the country. Ensure product visibility and confirm speaking opportunities for KoL’s in industry events.

• Medical Detailing
Develop and enhance product awareness and thereby create product demand. Develop and calendarize doctor detailing sessions, review product material with the doctors and tell them where the products are available.

Product Pull Creation
• Distributor Visits
Work closely with the identified distributor in ensuring that stock availability is optimum across all selling channels.
• Pharmacy Visits & Audits
Undertake pharmacy visits from time to time, audit prescriptions /use the information to liaise with the medical fraternity to generate demand.

Report Writing
• Reporting
Follow laid out procedures on doctor visits, sales reports and reporting adverse reactions.

We are looking for someone with:

• 2/3 years of relevant experience in medical detailing with a preference amongst the OBGYN community.
• A diploma/degree in biosciences.
• Valid PPB license.
• Proven experience in medical detailing and building relationships with the medical fraternity in Kenya.
• Well-developed communication skills – written and verbal – as well as developed intrapersonal skills (EQ essentials)
• Developed capabilities in MS Office suite.
• References will be required.
• The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check.
