Job Vacancy: Quality Assurance Officer
Location: Nairobi

Who are we?
We are a fast-growing manufacturing company seeking to hire a competent Quality Assurance Officer in charge of monitoring quality and ensuring that the right production processes are followed and that the standards of raw materials and finished goods are maintained to join our team.
The successful candidate will be tasked with: –
Responsibilities:
- Implementing and interpreting quality standard operating procedures for all processes.
- Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data in a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
- Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
- Collect and compile statistical quality data for analysis and reporting
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
- Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
- Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
- Ensure that housekeeping, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing and Gemba standard are adhered to
- Any other duty assigned from time to time.
Required skills and Competencies:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Analytical/ Industrial/ Applied Chemistry
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Officer
- Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is a MUST
- Good computer skills with advanced Microsoft skills (word and excel)
- Analytical skills and creativity
- Great reporting skills
- Problem solving skills
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Strong prioritization and administrative skills
- Ability to handle matters with integrity
- Ability to meet pressing deadlines, collect data and communicate it in a comprehensive report.
