Our client is a reputable organization seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Kenyan citizen to fill the following vacant position:

Research and Policy Analyst

Grade 6

Reporting to the Principal Research & Policy Analyst, the successful candidate will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer and will assist in ensuring efficient and effective research, policy and statistical analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing support in monitoring and evaluating the sector performance


• Collection, collation, analysis. reporting and maintenance of data.


• Collection, collation and analysis. of Information and statistics for presentation to the relevant end users and decision makers.


• Collaborating with the relevant functions in managing the databases hosted on the organizations ERP system


• Preparation of statistical reports on the sector ¡n the country


• Preparation of position papers and briefs for the directorate and other functions


• Preparation and presentation of papers for conferences, seminars and workshops


• Providing support to the inter-directorate effort on research, development and policy analysis with a view to establish the effectiveness of existing policy frameworks


• Assist in the development of statistical information and supporting models related to projections, forecasting and impact analysis.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics. Econometrics, an Applied Economics Discipline, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Studies or Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.


• Proficiency in Computer applications:


• Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution and


• Personal attributes such as: planning, communication, reporting, interpersonal skills and a team player.

Mandatory Requirements

• Copy of National Identification Card or Passport


• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations


• Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)


• Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)


• Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC): and


• Current Report from an appoved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
