Job Description
Our Client, operating a Restaurant in Ruiru Minicipality, Kiambu County is seeking to recruit competent and skilled Cooks who can prepare both African and Continental Dishes.
Reports to: Chef
Role Objective: To ensure that ingredients are accurately weighed, mixed measured, meals well cooked and dishes are well garnished. This includes both African & Continental dishes. Experience in the hot and cold fod preparation is essential
Responsibilities
- Steam, fry, bake, food to ensure only delicious meals are prepared at the restaurant
- Review recipes and ensure they are accurately weighted, measured and mixed
- Garnish and arrange dishes
- Ensure that kitchen employees follow proper sanitation/hygiene practices at all times
- Clean the kitchen and utensils
Qualifications / Education
- Diploma in Food Production from a Recognized Institution
- Able to work under pressure
- At least 2 – 4 years of experience
- Excellent knowledge on food handling and storage procedure knowledge
- Able to easily operate most kitchen equipment
- Knowledge in preparation of both African and Continental dishes
- Computer Skills

- Mature and able to work under pressure
- Excellent Communication skills (both written and verbal)
- A Team Player and detail oriented with good work ethics
- A problem solver
