Job Description

Key Responsibilities 

1. Coordinate all the departments in the restaurant dealing with food and beverage to ensure proper service delivery


2. Hold regular briefings and meetings with all heads of departments.


3. Maintain the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals whilst ensuring efficient operations


4. Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality and service


5. Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving.


6. Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food in order to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner


7. Work to ensure proper coordination between the front and back office to ensure proper service delivery


8. Maintain food and equipment inventories, and keep inventory records.


9. Budgeting: Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the Operating Budget, Marketing & Sales Plan and Capital Budget.


10. Ensure full compliance to restaurant operating controls, standard operating procedures, policies, procedures and customer service standards.


11. Preparation of daily reconciliation reports and timely reporting to management.


12. Closely monitor the business reports on a daily basis create detailed reports on revenues and expenses and make decisions accordingly. 


13. Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction


14. Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints


15. Organize and supervise shifts


16. Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma from Utalii College in Hospitality management or any other recognized institutions.


• Not less than 5 Years’ working experience in the same position


• Perfect knowledge of food and beverage products and their production and services


• Perfect computer knowledge and skills and ability to operate Microinvest restaurant software


• Excellent oral and written communication skills


• Result driven and team player


• Good coordination skills


• Ability to compile and strong understanding of reconciliation reports
