1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of all relevant product lines and a basic understanding of the entire Company portfolio.


2. Develop and implement an effective strategic sales and marketing plan.


3. Work strategically to meet annual sales targets and revenue goals.This will be mutually agreed and set and should be regularly assessed.


4. Undertake market research and analysis, and recommend sales strategies.


5. Develop both traditional and non-traditional sales channels (NGO’s, hospitals, government, private practices, etc.).


6. Register with NGO’s and government agencies and follow up on tenders and requests for quotations.


7. Establish contact and develop relationships with prospective clients, and recommend solutions to them.


8. Liaise and work together with colleagues within the same portfolio to ensure and create a cohesive approach to clients.


9. Maintain relationships with existing clients by providing support, information,and guidance; and researching and recommending new opportunities.


10. Expand the Company’s account list, take on incoming leads and close sales.


11. Identify product improvements, or new products, by remaining current on the industry trends and market activities, and monitoring competitor activity.


12. Keep abreast with new developments in the field, and relevant products lines nationally and internationally.


13. Provide customer application trainings when required and also conduct presentations during CME’s for customers and during internal trainings as well.


14. Organise and host trade shows, exhibitions, medical conferences and seminars.


15. Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations.


16. Prepare reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information for senior management.


17. Coordinate with finance /Accounts department and follow up on collections within the credit period.


18. Develop the product line within the company and spearhead the department.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in marketing, or a related field.


• surgical/Renal sales experience preferred


• At least 2 years experience in a similar management role..


• Good command of the English language; computer literate and have a sales and marketing background.


• Nursing background will be an added advantage.
