Positions: – 4

  Terms of Service: – Permanent and Pensionable 

 Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning and supervision of construction works for water supplies and sanitation infrastructure


• Collecting and collating operation and maintenance data for the water supply utilities


• Supervising water supply artisans


• Survey and design of water supply and sanitation projects


• Rehabilitation and augmentation for existing water and sanitation schemes


• Analyzing data and preparation of technical reports


• Carrying out feasibility studies and reconnaissance reports for proposed water and sanitation infrastructural projects


• Drafting of Bills of quantities for water projects in the County


• Analyzing data and preparation of technical reports


• Under studying the works and projects supervision under direct guidance of sub county water officers and heads of various divisions within the water directorates


• Assist in project planning implementation monitoring and evaluation of water and sanitation projects


• Assisting in coordination of research in water resources development and


• Any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  For appointment to this post, a candidate must have: – 

• Served as a Water Engineer or any other relevant and comparable position in the Public Service or private sector for a minimum period of three (3) years.


• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/ Water Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.


• A Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.


• A management Course from a recognized institution.
