Duties:

• Interacting with social media users to increase engagement, stimulate inclusive dialogue, and drive brand interest


• Monitoring social media content to pick patterns that can inform content production


• Managing users in the community to ensure that they follow community guidelines and decide what rules to apply when such guidelines are not adhered to


• Directing online discussions in a tone and language fit for Love Matters’ audience


• Stay updated on current trends relevant to Love Matters’ audience


• Investigate and report any technical issues that may hinder normal operations


• Work closely with the editorial team to explore user-generated content


• Share insights and referrals made


• Implement the online community moderation strategy, moderating with the team and create a safe and welcoming environment to talk about SRHR topics.


• Share monthly reports on moderation and referral insights across all platforms

Requirements:

• Be a Kenyan citizen


• Your proficient in English and Swahili is intermediate to fluent


• Be in tune with the aspirations and evolving needs and wants of young Kenyans


• At least 1-year previous experience working with social media account or online forum for an NGO that provides SRHR information to young people


• Great communication skills, at least intermediate written and spoken command of English is required


• Great interpersonal skills


• Empathy


• Able to work remotely with minimal supervision


• Have a working computer and great internet connection


• Be tech savvy and understand how to navigate social media very well


• Conversant with LMK thematic topics is an added advantage

Contract period: 6 months

Location: Remote with occasional physical meetings
