Our Client in the ICT industry is currently looking to hire a Software Trainer.
The Position requires a Dynamic Pro-Active Individual who will be able to train clients on the effective and correct use of our software products.
Responsibilities
- Primarily training of clients on QuickBooks Desktop / Online, NetBackups Software, AVG Software.
- Assessing individual/group training needs
- Planning, Preparing and Researching Lessons
- Teaching IT staff to trouble shoot and provide local support as well as general users on the effective and correct use of the software
- Organizing and Promoting the training courses offered
- Developing and enhancing training programmes of learning activities
- Preparing Notes and Teaching materials from time-to-time
- Spending contact time with clients (students) on an individual basis
- Checking and assessing Student’s work / progress and giving report / feedback on the achievements.
- Making use of new technologies such as distance learning and / or video conferencing
- Keeping IT and Training skills and knowledge up to date
- Covering the various and different territories within Nairobi and greater Nairobi plus surrounding towns (If and when required). Most trainings are required on-site.
- Identifying potential target clients and passing on the relevant information to Sales Team.
- Building & Maintaining relationships with new & existing clients
- Working with fellow team members.
- To meet set target for the region and date range provided in the respective area.
- To adhere with company policies on various products and services.
- Taking the brand names and creating awareness – where they don’t currently exist or are unknown
- To report to work on the time stipulated and be pro-active on the tasks provided.
- Creating reports detailed weekly and monthly summaries with feedback on clients achievements.
Competencies
- He / She should be a person with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English is a must.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential.
- Strong organizational, planning, and motivational skills are desired.
- Ability to quickly set up and use audio/visual equipment is a plus, though not required
- Be self-motivated and a person with proven track record of achievements.
- He / she should be able to effectively communicate to all types of people and make them understand the correct use of software applications.
- Time management and communication skills perfected – A MUST.
Qualifications
- A University graduate with IT + Accounting background is a must and Adult
- Education / Communications or Computer Science (preferred) from a recognised University or College.
- At least 3 years’ experience in the field with similar industry.
- Demonstrate ability to motivate and work directly with other team members.
