Sphinx Pharmaceuticals is a pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution company. Sphinx manufactures human and veterinary medicine as well as distribution of these pharmaceutical products.

JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL ENGINEER
DEPARTMENT: MAITENANCE
REPORTS TO: MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Key responsibilities
- Maintenance of all machines.
- Taking care of maintaining the workshop and machine in terms of cleanliness.
- Handling machines safely, professionally and legally at all times and ensures an appropriate level of care is given to the machines.
- Promptly attending to machine breakdowns to avoid long down times.
- Works to achieve the agreed target around efficiencies and supports the wider team in providing feedbacks and suggestions on how the operations can be improved
- Is proactive around managing breakdowns and follows the escalation processes where there are delays.
- Adheres to standards and policies in particular around standard operation procedures and health and safety
- Maintains the premises and all the equipments in it.
Qualifications
- Minimum certificate in plant mechanical engineering
- Knowledge in electrical work is an added advantage.
- Over 2 Years’ experience in a busy Manufacturing company is required.
