Job Purpose:

Management of inventory received in the warehouse while ensuring zero stock losses on the warehouse floor.

Key accountabilities for the role include; ensuring all stocks received in the warehouse are fully accounted for in line with the laid down quality and stock dispatch guidelines, maintaining the warehouse in line with documented standards, ensuring all required documentation and reconciliations are in place on time in full and with no errors, keeping records of any occurrence while on duty and taking personal responsibility for health and safety.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Receiving product and checking for conformity in quality and quantity,


2. Documentation of all stocks received into the warehouse,


3. Tracking damaged/non-conforming inventory during offloading,


4. Maintaining updated bin cards,


5. Reconciliation of inventory held on the warehouse floor against daily issues,


6. Maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse as per cleanliness standards,


7. Reconciliation of physical stocks with system stocks


8. Ensuring all loaders engaged in the warehouse adhere to the safety standards and have full PPE,


9. Managing loaders allocating them duties optimizing on the number based on operations trends,


10. Ensuring Picking lists are correctly filled, and the correct quantities are issued against the picking list,


11. Verification of stocks issued and ensuring all picking lists are signed off correctly on issuance of stock,


12. Receiving and verification of stocks from routes


13. Issuance and supervision of loadings,


14. Custodian of all stock documentation


15. Tracking and reconciliation of free issue/discount stocks,


16. Ensuring security measures are adhered to in the warehouse,


17. Maintaining a good working relationship with peers,


18. Any other duties that may be assigned by the line manager from time to time,

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT

• Minimum Diploma in purchasing and supply chain management, Logistics or Business administration


• Minimum of 3 years as stock/Inventory controller is a must


• Proven work experience as a Stock/Inventory Controller, inventory manager or similar role


• Good understanding of supply chain procedures


• Proficiency in office 365


• Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software’s  (Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP)


• Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports


• Focused and prioritization ability


• Excellent organization skills


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and cope with pressure


• Ability to work long hours


• Sense of urgency with good eye for details


• Active participation in inventory audits
