The ideal candidate is expected to carry out the following responsibilities Inter alia: 

1. Developing and implementing targeted short and long-term sales, marketing and communication strategies to foster growth. 


2. Generating leads and efficiently keeping in regular contact with existing prospects


3. Preparing for, setting up and doing presentations to potential clients  


4. Understanding and keeping up-to-date with constant developments in the financial markets industry  


5. Identifying areas for expansion and development


6. Identifying relevant business opportunities and developing them into bankable business plans


7. Create weekly/monthly reports on deals pipeline 


8. Create weekly/monthly forecasts on revenue/target management and end of month reports on revenue and market performance 


9. Delivering against set targets to ensure revenue expectations are met 


10. Inputting into sales and marketing collateral – how the business positions itself for various audiences 


11. Coordinating team activities in line with the company’s focus and growth strategy


12. Preparing and presenting value add and product development proposals to the Board 


13. Conduct of market intelligence , interpretation and develop mitigation plans 


14. Drive sales and marketing initiatives of the Company

Ideal candidate should have the following qualities/abilities: 

• Ability to conduct research and present findings 


• Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process/company bureaucracies 


• Eloquent, confident and engaging public speaker 


• Excellent document drafting, presentation and formatting skills 


• Self-driven, decisive and able to work with minimal supervision 


• Excellent communications skills 


• Person with a drive to achieve results 


• Interest in developing people and motivating teams 


• Ability to meet set targets


• Ideal candidate should have a degree (from a reputable institution) touching on marketing and business development and at least three years’ experience in a similar position. Knowledge of technology and the financial industry would be an advantage.
