Supply Chain Management Officer Job, Supply Chain Jobs March, 

PRINCIPAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT OFFICER– ONE (1) POST V/NO. 61/2021

 Gross Salary:  Ksh. 185,534 – 290,597 p.m.                                     

(Salary includes 60% basic pay and 40% allowances)

Annual leave: 30 working days per financial year

Medical Cover : As provided by the Commission

Terms of service: Three (3) years contract renewable subject to satisfactory performance

 Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: 

• served for a minimum period of three (3) years in the grade of Supply Chain Management Officer I, CSG 10 and above or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service;


• a Bachelors Degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management or any equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;


• a Diploma in Supplies Management from a recognized institution;


• Professional certification in procurement and supplies management such as CIPS & CSCP, CPSP-K;


• Membership to Kenya Institute of Supplies Management; and


• a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, best practices and emerging issues in supply chain

Responsibilities

 Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

• Creating of procurement requisitions and orders in the system;


• Receipts of goods and services;


• Progressing of orders after deliveries;


• Taking goods on charge upon receipts;


• Stock and inventory control and updating stock control cards;


• Monitoring reordering levels;


• Secretariat to disposal committee;


• Stores management (safety, security, and cleanliness);


• Participating in survey to identify obsolete, surplus and unserviceable items;


• Carrying out continuous stock checking and periodic market surveying for common user items;


• Issuing goods to users and user departments; and


• Carrying out IFMIS responsibilities as assigned
