Position: Obstetrics And Gynaecology, Job Group ‘P’ (1 POST)

Location: Tana River County

Responsibilities

• Performingcomplex and advanced clinical patient management in area of specialization including Performance of caesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed;


• Clinicalduties in County Hospital;


• Teachingand Supervision of health workers;


• Preparingand responding to emergencies and disasters;


• Outreachclinics and surgeries in the county hospitals;


• Assistin the policy formulization;


• Monitorpatients’ conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatment as necessary;


• Explainprocedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients;


• Monitoringthe provision of forensic and medico-legal services; and


• Performany other duties and responsibilities as shall be assigned from time to 

Qualifications

• Mustbe a Kenyan citizen;


• Servedas senior Medical Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years;


• ABachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board;


• Master’s Degree (M.Med) in Obstetrics andGynaecology or equivalent postgraduate qualification from a recognized institution;


• Registeredwith Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;


• Beingin possession of valid practicing license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;


• Certificatein Senior Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;


• Certificatein computer application skills from a recognized institution; and


• Shownmerit and ability as reflected in work performance and
