Trainer – EMT, Paramedics and OHS Programmes
Training School – NAIROBI, NAIROBI, Kenya – Full Time
The Society is looking for a qualified person to fill the following position:
Position Title: Trainer – EMT/Paramedic/OHS Programmes
Reporting to: Training and Capacity Building Coordinator – ICHA
Job Location: Nairobi
Overall Purpose
The Trainer is responsible for contributing to the organization through management and facilitation of the EMT/Paramedic/OHS programmes. The trainer is in charge of the management of the programmes assigned. He/she is the link to all relevant registration bodies and the institution. He/she is responsible for design and constant review of the curricula.
Responsibilities
- Leads the department in coordinating the development and enhancement of course curricula and initiatives for the improvement of delivery
- Oversees the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date faculty and student records
- Leads other faculty in Research and innovation of the programmes
- Manages the annual programme calendar – Timetabling
- Design and delivery of the course curricula – Review of teaching materials and presentations
- Marketing and recruitment of students to the programme for revenue generation
- Link between the student body and the Training Institute
- Facilitation of EMT/Paramedic/OHS courses and other related programmes
- Design and development of new programmes for growth of the department
- Examination setting, moderation, marking and certification
- Training Equipment Management
- Course Evaluation and reporting
Qualifications
- A University Degree / Diploma/certification in Paramedic/EMS/Disaster Management or related social sciences
- Certification in OHS programmes & relevant medical courses
- 3 years of professional teaching experience
- Experience in Fire Drills and Evacuation is an added advantage
