Location: Nairobi 

About the Company:

Involved in energy management solutions which include briquettes, boiler conversions, energy audits, pellets and solar products. 

Job Summary:

Oversees key client projects from coordination to completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure all commercial & industrial solar installation projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within allocated budget


• Use standard project methodology and tools to track progress against deliverables


• Communicate project activities including progress, budget, risks, issues to relevant stakeholders as defined by the communication plan


• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project.


• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility


• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques provided


• Report and escalate to management as needed


• Perform risk assessments and project trials to minimize project risks


• Responsible for ensuring that build and installation reports are completed and validated with the technical team.


• Commission all solar installation to organization specifications and ensure sign-off with all clients in regards to equipment installed and service quality achieved at installation.


• Ensure that all operations policies and procedures, including health and safety, are adhered to at all times throughout the expansion process


• Manage workers/contractors at site to ensure quality & delivery of projects


• Represent the company at the client’s site and respond to clients’ needs from time

Key Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor of Science in Energy or Electrical Engineering


• 5 years of relevant work/management experience, managing complex projects of solar installation commissioning in commercial & industrial sector


• Project Management certifications required


• Team and contractor leadership and budget oversight


• Relevant training in health and safety areas.


• Results and detail oriented with a very hands on approach


• Able to operate under high pressure with limited resources
