Overall Purpose:

The main objective of this role is to ensure timely bank reconciliations. Reconciling Ledger accounts as described below and timely invoicing of Sundry Debtors.

Key Measures of Performance

The performance of this role holder will be assessed on the basis of the achievements made on:

•                     Monthly Bank reconciliation by 10th of the following month.

•                     Monthly Ledger Accounts reconciliation by 12th of the following month.

•                     Up to date Invoicing of Sundry Debtors within a week from the Debt of event.

Key Responsibilities

•                     Reconciliation of Monthly Bank, Visa and MPESA charges

•                     Payment of petty cash vouchers and refund of Guest cards monies through MPESA.

•                     Dealing with all bank reconciliation queries and updating the Management Accountant on any discrepancies.

•                     Annual Billing of Golf bag/Cart Rent & Locker Room locker charges

•                     Journalizing of Monthly Lottery (10% Admin fee).

•                     Invoicing of Functions and contracted Sundry Debtors (Advertising & Rent)

•                     Invoicing of Electricity to contracted debtors

•                     Reconciliation and preparation of all Sundry and Ledger accounts (to clear to GL Accounts)

•                     Reporting and reconciliation of all member’s Administration

•                     Maintain a filing system for all financial documents within his/her domain.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

•                     Diploma/Degree in Finance or Accounting major with at least CPA 2 qualification.

•                     Active use of SAGE System

Relevant Experience

•             2 - 3 years’ experience in Accounting Department preferably in the Hospitality sector.
