VACANT POSITIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ROADS, TRANSPORT AND PUBLIC WORKS [VACANCY NO. 03/2021]

Assistant Engineer II (Structural) - THREE (3) POSITIONS VACANCY NO. 03/2021/12
Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.38,270 - Ksh. 51,170 p.m. (Job Group ‘K’)
Allowances as per the SRC circulars attached to the position
Terms of service: three (3) years contract (renewable subject to satisfactory performance)

For appointment to this position a candidate must:
i. Be a Kenyan citizen.
ii. Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
iii. Have been registered with the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB) as a Graduate Engineer;

Duties and responsibilities:
This is the entry and training grade to this cadre. An officer at this level will work under a Senior Officer. Duties will include:
i. Designing, preparation of drawings; and
ii. Supervision of construction of civil and structural works for simple projects.
