Job Title: Marketing Manager


Nature of Job: Full Time

Salary: Kshs 120,000 – 150,000


Job Location: Nairobi


Job Summary: Our client deals with building materials (Tiles) and is seeking to hire an experienced Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.


You are responsible for making sure that the brand grows and the company grows into a trusted household brand in the country.


To do this, you are responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive and multi-channel marketing strategies and the means to measure their effectiveness.


Key Duties / Responsibilities


1. Strategic, Budget and Work plan:



  • As the team, Assist GM to do yearly marketing strategy and marketing fee budget and advertising plan, monthly work plan


2. Marketing Management



  • In charge of organizing managing and training marketing team. Including promotions, daily work arrangement, and KPI control. Policy formulation, project management and target management

  • Overall departmental marketing work, and based on policy to carry out all the works to execute (new products program, showroom construction, fundis promotion, showroom checking, advertising, and so on). Organize marketing team and work jointly with regional sales manager

  • Initiate and execute the projects, plans, reports, etc.

  • Carry out relevant marketing work training and assessment for managers, regional market specialists, to enhance the professionalism of relevant personnel in marketing work;

  • In accordance with the annual plan, formulate detailed market research plans, assist in the development of new products and other auxiliary duties, feedback first-line market and sales issues, and put forward market promotion opinions and suggestions

  • Manage suppliers and formulate standards for various market expenses

  • Complete other tasks assigned by superiors and handle emergency work


3. Team Management



  • In charge of approval of daily expense including claims

  • Weekly CPI and monthly KPI score tracking and give results

  • Give team promotion plan and manage team salary

  • In charge of management of team contracts renewal based on performance

  • Hold weekly, daily and monthly meetings and give reports

  • New staff training and department daily training management

Academic, Professional Qualifications and Experience Required



  • Bachelors’ degree in Social Science, Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or any related field

  • Masters’ degree in any related field is an added advantage

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Marketing; two (2) as a Marketing Manager.

  • Two (2) years of experience in the same field (tile manufacturing industry/hardware /Construction materials) is an added advantage.

  • At least three (3) years of experience in managing a team of not less than 20 people


Professional Knowledge and Skills



  • Event planning skills, marketing and understanding of Consumer psychology

  • Copywriting planning, advertising

  • Project management

  • Market research methods

  • Team management skills

  • Basic knowledge of training
