Job Description


Job Purpose


The job holder will be responsible for managing, supervising and coordinating enforcement activities within the Nairobi Region and be in charge of Regional Coordination.


Key responsibilities of the job



  • Coordination of field operations in Nairobi and the regions.

  • Approve work plans and schedules.

  • Case allocation.

  • Review case plans based on information presented.

  • Supervise and direct multiple enforcement teams in the enforcement process.

  • Review statement of findings including financials and legal implications.

  • Approve compounding of cases under the relevant taxation legislation and forward for an issuance of demand notice on tax payable.

  • Ensure all activities are executed in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Continuously review processes, identify, and recommend improvement areas.

  • Ensure the timely preparation and submission of reports.


Professional/years of experience qualifications



  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.

  • A Master’s Degree and/or professional qualifications will be an added advantage.

  • Well trained/ experienced in Domestic Tax and Customs law and administration.

  • Should have a good understanding of revenue statutes administered by the Kenya Revenue Authority.

  • Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and National Intelligence Service (NIS) certification in Basic investigations techniques and intelligence courses will be an added advantage.

  • Experience in surveillance operations will be an added advantage.

  • At least seven (7) years’ work experience in tax administration, with three (3) being at management level.
