Cleaner
Job Description
- Sweep, scrub and clean offices, corridors and any assigned areas.
- Clean windows and curtains periodically.
- Wash, disinfect and mop floors of the hospital and ensure its cleanliness at all times.
- Empty the dustbins continually as well as the waste from the Hospital.
- Collect litter and any other unwanted objects dropped within the hospital buildings.
- Sort and pack rubbish into respective bags.
- Dust all rooms, walls, furniture, fixtures, and equipment at areas of assignment.
- Wash and disinfect toilets and sinks.
- Ensure availability of toilet papers in toilets and soap on sinks.
- Collect curtains, clothes, hand towels and other linen and arrange them for the laundry.
- Remove all cobwebs within the rooms and corridors.
- Ensure there is no smell in the toilets, waterways, drainages and report the same as appropriate.
- Report all defects to the supervisor promptly for repairs and maintenance.
- Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time in order to keep the Hospital tidy and clean.
Qualifications
- Secondary School Education Certificate
- Knowledge and skills in housekeeping.
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position
