Job Title: Assistant Driver Trainer

Division: Multi Brand

Department: HCV Sales

Reports to: HCV Development & Training Support

Work station: Nairobi

Job Purpose: This role is responsible for the delivery of Client Driver Training across the Company’s portfolio of product, this includes both classroom and in vehicle on road training.

Main Responsibilities of the Job

Managerial / Supervisory

• N/A

Operational Responsibilities

• To give instruction to new clients on the correct operation of products both in classroom and on the road, explaining the features & Benefits of the relevant vehicle (s).


• To maintain up to date Driver Training diary / calendar, planning future training.


• To ensure that following training, Certificates are issued along with a full report for the client on the attendee’s participation and results, copies also circulated for internal information.


• To conduct refresher courses for existing customers with regards to correct operation and economical driving.


• To accompany sales staff for vehicle hand overs to new clients.


• To maintain up to date knowledge of the market place in relation to Road Safety legislation and associated transport developments.


• Maintain up to date knowledge of New Products entering the market and ensure training materials are in place for new product launches.


• Maintain timely reporting following training and adhere to the company rules regarding attendance hours.


• Maintain company corporate standards regarding Due Diligence, Anti-Bribery and Corruption.


• Participate in New Vehicle Launches as and when required.


• Carry out on road product driving checks as and when required in partnership with aftersales.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role

• Technical related vehicle qualifications in relation to maintenance and repair.


• A clean Full Driving licence for car and Heavy Commercial vehicles.

Minimum level of experience required to perform effectively in the role

• 3 years’ working experience in the automotive industry
