Our client in the furniture industry, a leading supplier of high-end Italian furniture in Eastern Africa is seeking to recruit a highly talented and dynamic professional to fill in the following position based in Nairobi.

Sales Representative

The incumbent will work closely with the rest of the team to create a warm welcome for all customers and establish what they are looking for.

You will also be expected to understand who the competition is and demonstrate how we differ.

The incumbent will be responsible for dealing with all customer queries and taking responsibility for the end-to-end sales process.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales and Marketing


• Serve as a first point of contact for most clients whether walk-in to showroom or online enquiry


• Greet and welcome clients in the showroom


• Provide hospitality to clients and offer refreshments


• Walk clients through the showroom and explain our offers and design solutions


• Responsible for showroom display, ensure cleanliness and manage any maintenance issues


• Provide professional advice on space planning, design concept, materials selection and project scheduling


• Prepare quotations and presentations for client meetings


• Host client meetings to discuss requirements, design and liaise with the team members on client requirements.


• Execute sales and work to achieve sales targets


• Maintain and grow the sales pipeline


• Liaise with clients, contractors & suppliers for site co-ordination and installation


• Assist customers on product selection and ranges


• Take part in business development activities including field sales, architect and interior designer visits and networking with different range of clients.


• Develop strong client relationships whilst delivering service excellence


• Assist the Head of Marketing to execute design work plans.

Key Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Degree in Sales and Marketing or any other related field


• Should have at least 2 years working experience in a sales role.


• Experience in Design is an added advantage.


• Should have the ability to organize work and multi-task


• Excellent communication skills


• Should be keen on paying attention to detail and delivering work that is of high standard


• Should possess strong analytical skills and is comfortable dealing with numerical data


• Should be a self-starter and demonstrate a high level of resilience
