Job Description/Requirements


Job Purpose   
•    Responsible for creating marketing strategies and achieving sales targets for the organisation. You will be responsible for helping us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative.
•    You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those to plans to the upper management.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
•    Taking ownership for entire sales lifecycle – from Leads to Closure
•    Determine and execute appropriate sales strategies for the company in accordance with our consolidated strategy and operational targets
•    Determine critical success factors for new client acquisition, negotiate and close business to ensure that company Sales targets are achieved
•    Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
•    Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
•    Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
•    Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
•    Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status Meeting the sales targets in the defined markets/branches and business segments
•    Develop and maintain a network in the community to enhance the visibility of the company and to build a strong referral source for new potential business.
•    Ensure branch operational integrity: communication and compliance in policies and procedures.
•    Accomplishes marketing and sales human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
•    Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
•    Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
•    Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analysing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
•    Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
•    Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
•    Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development.
•    Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
•    Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
•    Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations/meetings.
•    Creating, implementing and managing a range of inbound and outbound consumer marketing campaigns (print, online, social media) targeted at financial institution consumers.
•    Creating and maintaining reports for the Relationship Officers and Branch Managers, that track and measure the success of marketing & Sales initiatives.
•    The Sales & Marketing manager is responsible for coordinating and enforcing branding guidelines and standards across departments and business lines.
•    Focus on generating ideas and content for sales collateral, advertising, and printed signage for events.
•    Conducting competitive analysis, organizing direct mail campaigns, sending business and news updates to clients and managing online promotions.
•    Ensure world-class product marketing positioning, messaging, promotions and launches
•    Recommending improvements to consumer marketing campaigns based on results
•    Ensure consumer marketing programs influence and yield sales revenue and measurable result
•    Ensure that marketing activities are within budget.
•    Monitoring the execution of the marketing plans and strategies through the marketing reports and ensure standardization in regards to marketing activities across branches
•    Development of new products and services
•    Conduct marketing research and analysis by monitoring the trends and competition from our competitors
•    Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
•    Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
•    Analysing potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing.

Operational management
•    The Sales & Marketing manager will work closely with the debt collection manager and come up with quarterly trainings in reference to debt collection skills and techniques that are acceptable as per company standards.
•    Oversee all debt collection procedures are being followed across all branches through the respective branch managers. The Sales Manager will work hand in hand with the debt collection department to oversee that collection targets are met and archived.
•    The Sales & Marketing manager will closely work with the GM to ensure all the operations department budget needs are factored in the Global annual budget. Further the The Sales & Marketing manager will assist the GM to ensure portfolio quality and growth for long term sustainability and profitability of the institution.
•    Oversee the day to day running of all branches in liaison with the GM through the reports from the branch managers
•    Assist the GM in the development and implementation of succession planning policies through the establishment of coaching & mentorship programs: and preparations and submission of periodic repayment and recovery reports to management and the board.
•    Keep the GM and the fully informed in a timely and candid manner of the conduct of the day-today operations of the Company towards the achievement of its established goals and of all material deviations from the goals or objectives and policies established by the Board.
•    With respect to operational matters, ensure communications, resolution of issues and debt collection strategies are well executed across all branches as planned. 
•    Advise the GM on all matters regarding debt management and loan recovery.
•    As requested by the Board, attend meetings of the Board and its Committees and present the information necessary or relevant to the Board or such Committee for discharging its duties.
•    Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus and service and encourages individual integrity.
•    Maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels.
Loan appraisal and Authorization for payment which entails Signing of the letters of offer and any other loan related letters in the absence of the GM.

Qualifications & Skills
•    Degree in Business Management, Commerce or related course.
•    Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
•    MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint Skills required
•    Experience with creating a marketing campaign, marketing strategy, and marketing plan.

CRITICAL SUCCESS AREAS -
•    Thorough knowledge of the company business, marketing plan and products
•    Strong analytical and project management skills.
•    Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
•    Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
•    Strong business sense and industry expertise
•    Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills, positive attitude, a tireless work ethic and an insatiable appetite for growth.
•    Strong analytical and project management skills.
•    People management experience is preferred.
•    Ability to interact at the senior level in the organization is required
•    Excellent interpersonal collaborations and team skills including working with cross-functional teams is required
