Job Description/Requirements


Department: Lubes Sales
Section: Coast Region   
Reports to: Lubricants Sales Manager
Salary: Kshs.150,000 - 200,000

Responsible for:
•    Developing the company’s Lubricants sales in the Marine, Reseller & Consumer segments by developing the market for the company’s brand.
•    Maintain and grow the required volumes and margins

Tasks and outputs:

Sales representative Duties

1.    Maintain, Develop and grow the existing Marine, Resellers & Consumers through increased volumes and margins
2.    Conduct Technical training to distributors, resellers & consumers staff, mechanics and their customers.
3.    Adherence to marine Alliance delivery procedure
4.    Make presentations to potential customers on the technical specifications of the company lubricants.
5.    Train the customers technical staff on appropriate storage and usage of company lubricant.
6.    Liase with support departments including finance, logistics and group technical resources to ensure prompt service to customer needs.
7.    Assist customers on technical aspects that arise for the use of the lubricants
8.    Reduce receivables and ensure all customer accounts operate within approved credit terms, collect and follow up reconciliation for customer accounts.
9.    To monitor closely competitors’ activities in respect to their new strategies pricing.
10.    Ensure compliance of the department with HSE company standards especially with regard to storage and handling of petroleum products. Undertake action where necessary.
11.    Ensure proper customer service and respond to customer complaints and comments.
12.    Develop and implement marketing strategies aimed at growing sales in the Reseller, Consumer & Marine channels.
13.    Prepare marketing and sales report and meet set deadlines.
14.    Stay Informed about Marine Laws and current Marine industry practices & Kenya revenue regulations.
15.    Serves as Liaison and major point of contact with all interfaces in the Marine operations.
16.    Prepare and circulate monthly sales performance for Coast Region
17.    Close monitoring of lubricant stock in Mombasa warehouse, highlighting stock level to ensure minimum stocks are maintained.
18.    Coordinate the optimization of the execution of delivery schedules and resolve issues associate with order fulfillment, through coordination with Warehouse/ Hubs supervisors.
19.    Any other tasks/duties to support the business plan as and when required including working extra hours to ensure company business objectives are met as will be assigned by the Lubricant manager

Skills required:
Minimum qualifications

1.    Diploma in Business Management (Sales)
2.    Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding
3.    Excellent presentation & communication skills
4.    Strategic mindset, independent, self- motivated and results oriented
5.    Advanced computer skills (proficiency in EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT are mandatory)
6.    Hold a valid driving license

Minimum Years of experience
•    At least (3) years hands-on experience in the Kenyan Lubricants market gained within the sales management functions of a reputable organization.
