Job Description
Kentegra Biotechnology at the EPZ Athi River is looking for Mechanical Technicians specialized in the fields of a Fitting / Welding or Fabricating who will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager.
These roles will include:-
- Carrying out fitting/welding and fabrication assignments;
- Carrying out mechanical maintenance and repair of machines;
- Devising preventive measures to avoid machine downtime;
- Analyzing machine test results and making appropriate adjustments to meet organizational standards,
- Troubleshooting for any mechanical faults while ensuring the smooth running of machines during production;
- Devising preventive measures to avoid machine downtime;
- Ensuring production machines are running well;
- The role should also ensure that all rules and regulations as stipulated in the company policies and regulations are observed while all health and safety measures are followed;
Qualifications and work experience required for this role
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution or KNEC Grade Test 1.
- At least 3 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment involving fabrication, installation, welding or fitting roles.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices.
- Ability to maintain good records of all work that has been undertaken
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
