Position: Information Communication & Technology Officer (It Security)

Job Description

The ICT Officer (IT security) will be responsible for installing, administering, and troubleshooting the organization’s IT security solutions to ensure protection of the critical information asset of the hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Installing, administering, and troubleshooting network security


• Updating software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each network resource.


• Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats, and developing disaster recovery plans.


• Configuring security systems, analyzing security requirements, and recommending


• Monitoring network traffic for suspicious


• Creating network policies and authorization roles and defending against unauthorized access, modifications, and


• Consulting with staff, managers, and executives about the best security practices and providing technical advice.


• Configuring and supporting security tools, such as firewalls and anti-virus


• Training staff to understand and use security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following field: Computer science, Computer software, Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized


• Professional certifications in CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security+, CEH, NIST Cyber security Framework etc.


• Complied with the requirements of chapter six (6) of the constitution of Kenya, 2010
