Job Description
Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: Nairobi
Our client is a leading high-end mattress & beddings manufacturer located in Nairobi.
Job Purpose: As a Logistics Coordinator you will facilitate communication between production, sales and distribution stages to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Facilitate the delivery of goods from one destination to another
- Do complete route planning
- Arrange transportation, plan manpower, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with no delay
- Receives products from warehouse department and coordinates delivery
- Prepares loads for shipment
- Takes steps to avoid quality control issues
- Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
- Engages customers and clients on status of their goods
- Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles
- Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible
- Streamlines shipping and transportation processes
- Complete logistics analysis and reporting
- Any other roles and responsibilities assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Proven experience as logistics coordinator
- Experience in customer service will be appreciated
- Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field
