We at Masaba Services Limited are looking to recruit an individual for the position of Accountant.

We are a telecommunications company with its headquarters in Nairobi but with works on going all over the country.

Our main operations are fibre to the home, fibre to the building, fibre to the site and fixed data support.

Role Summary: The Accountant monitors and controls the finance aspect of the business.

This position ensures systems are in place and adherence of the same by staff.

• Supervise and assure completion and filing of all financial, cost reports, statements and tax filings.


• Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors


• Prepare and maintain financial forecasts in consultation with the Managing Director and team leaders (including the annual budget and the medium term business plan);


• Provide leadership in accounting, finance, and office administration. Specifically, train and mentor the accounting staff.


• Manage relationships with customers and support the Managing Director in designing and implementing projects and proposals.


• Monitor all bank movements and statements and prepare quarterly and annual financial reports as well as analytical reports.


• Liaise with Internal auditors and ensuring timely completion of the audit and obtaining audit reports.


• Prepare and consolidate monthly Bank reconciliations and other reconciliations


• Prepare quarterly financial management reports.


• Undertake performance management of the Finance and assist in recruiting, developing and effectively manage the Finance team.


• Contribute to strategic planning, work planning and budgeting and ensure compliance with organizational financial policy as well as statutory financial requirements.


• Participate in procurement monitoring and review meeting.


• Authorizes Bills of Materials.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent expertise.


• CPA (K)


• Computer proficiency and familiarity with a range of software applications including MS Excel, MS Word, and accounting packages.


• Proficient in ERP software desirable

• Be able to speak/communicate clearly with customers, employees, and utility inspectors/regulators
