Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will provide Community Health Services where the specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Collecting health related data at household level for analysis.
- Maintaining and updating community health unit registers and keeping records
- Identifying common ailment and minor injuries at community level
- Identifying and referring health cases to appropriate health facilities
- Visit homes to determine the health situation and dialogue with household member
- Identifying and sensitizing communities on health interventions
- Monitoring growth of children under the age of five years
- Identifying defaulters on health interventions and referring them to the appropriate health facilities
- Managing community health resource centres and convening and coordinating monthly community meeting and action days
Requirements to this grade:-
- KCSE Mean Grade C-, D+ in English or Kiswahili, D+ in Biology/Biological Sciences, D (plain) in any of the following: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics/Physical Sciences
- Must have a diploma in Community Health/Social Work and Development/ Social Work and Community Development from a recognized institution.
- Must have a minimum (1) years’ experience in the field
- Excellent proficiency in use of Computer, reporting and record keeping.

- For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, applicants must obtain the following clearances:
- Tax compliance certificate from KRA
- Clearance certificate from HELB
- Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
- Certificate of good conduct from Criminal Investigation Department
