Job Title: Agribusiness Officer – MobiGrow Program
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Economics, Horticulture or Project Management
- Basic experience in community engagement & mobilization
- Exposure to planning farmers trainings
- Fluency in Kiswahili a must; dominant local language of allocated region an added advantage
- Willing to travel widely in allocated region
- Conversant with Computer Applications
Terms of engagement: Temporary for 3 months
Job Description
The Agribusiness officer will among others;
- Support the engagement process Off Takers and Cooperatives and stakeholders
- Organize farmers trainings and accounts activation sessions with extension teams and DSRs
- Support capacity building process for Boards and staff of engaged Off Takers and Co-operatives
- Timely and accurate reporting of all activities undertaken and submit relevant data
- Any other program related activities
Deployment Regions
- Kencom – covering Central Kenya
- Embu – covering Eastern Kenya
- Nakuru – Covering Central Rift Region
- Kakamega – covering Western & Nyanza regions
- Mombasa – covering Coast region
- Eldoret – Covering North Rift
Others: Program will carter for travel, accommodation and meals while on night out work related travel
