Amref Health Africa in Kenya is the country programme office of Amref Health Africa, Africa’s largest International Health NGO. This is the largest and oldest country programme in Africa with an average annual budget of USD 40million. We have 19 innovative products and project models that have successfully been implemented and transformed 5.4 million lives.
Summary
Amref Health Africa is seeking to recruit a qualified person for the position of Project Officer – HIV Testing Services whose purpose is to ensure timely, effective, and quality implementation of contextualized HIV testing services and strategies that meet donor’s expectations and demands through the day – to – day provision of mentorship and close monitoring of program-supported health facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Community/Public Health, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Social Science, Counselling Psychology or other related course.
- At least Five (5) years’ experience in HIV Programs implementation.
SKILLS
- Undergone HIV/AIDS related Trainings; e.g. Peer Education, HTS Quality Management or Behavior Change Communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build partnerships and consensus, within teams and other stakeholders.
- Ability to be self-directed and self-motivated and a team player.
- Proficiency level computer skills – spreadsheet, internet, word processing, and email software.
COMPETENCES
- Demonstrate experience in implementing programs requiring participation of government and community stakeholders.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
