Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for handling disciplinary matters in line with KRA Code of Conduct.
Key Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks
Managerial / Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises direct reportee
Operational Responsibilities / Tasks:
- Preparation of legal instructions.
- Analyzing investigation reports and reviewing of appeal cases.
- Capturing and preparation of minutes of deliberations of the Disciplinary Committee
- Liaising with other stake holders on matters raised in a disciplinary cases.
- Preparation and follow up of disciplinary action points.
- Analysis of investigation reports and drafting of charges
- Preparation of disciplinary reports.
Job Dimensions
I. Financial Responsibility:
Preparation of financial estimates.
II. Responsibility for Physical Assets:
a) Responsible for physical assets assigned by the institution.
III. Decision Making:
a) Make operational decisions
b) Assigns and supervise the work to direct reportees
c) Supervise/Monitors and evaluate direct reportees work performance
d) Appraises/evaluates direct reportees performance
IV. Working Conditions:
Works predominantly in a comfortable environment
Job Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Attributes / Skills).
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or any related discipline
Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies
Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management/ Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP)
Membership to a Professional Body (IHRM)
Previous relevant work experience required.
· At least 3 years work experience in discipline management.

Functional Skills:
- IT Proficiency and conversant with application of labour laws.
Behavioral Competencies/Attributes:
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Strong analytical, good judgement and problem solving abilities in order to regularly resolve conflicts.
- Ability to work under pressure and be self driven
- Attention to details
