Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) is established under the Sacco Societies Act, CAP 490B with a mandate to license, regulate and supervise the Sacco Sector in Kenya. SASRA is seeking results oriented, selfdriven individuals with high integrity to fill the following vacant positions. Suitable candidates shall be employed on permanent and pensionable terms of service within Nairobi. The jobs may entail travelling outside the duty station

Supply Chain Management Officer, SASRA 6 (1 Position)
Vacancy Number: 03/2022

Role Summary
To assist in the efficient procurement of goods and services in accordance with Public Procurement and Disposal Act.

Key Responsibilities
a) Updating the stock cards.
b) In charge of the stores and inventories management in the Authority.
c) Receiving and inspection of goods and services delivered.
d) Coordinating of opening of tenders, quotations and proposals submitted.
e) Assisting in the forwarding procurement documents and invoice for payments of suppliers,
g) Assist in the distribution of tenders and quotation documents, to interested
h) bidders or selected pre-qualified suppliers.
i) Maintaining and archiving of all procurement records.
j) Assisting in preparation Local Purchase Orders/Local Service Order.
k) Assisting in carrying out market surveys to inform the placing of orders or
l) Adjudication by the relevant awarding authority.
m) Secretariat in Tender Opening Committee.
n) Issuing and receiving goods from store to user departments.
o) Maintaining security and safe custody of stores and inventories
p) Assisting in stock taking exercise; and
q) Maintaining stores at required optimal levels.

Job Specifications:
a) Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Supply Chain Management, Commerce (Supplies Management option), Procurement or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
b) Membership to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies, Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or any other recognized institution.
c) Diploma in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
and
d) Proficiency in computer application.
