Job Summary


We are an established travel agency operating seeking to hire a Tour and Travel Consultant who will be tasked with designing, costing and customizing both international and local travel itineraries.



  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor

  • Experience Level: Entry level

  • Experience Length: 1 year










Job Description



Diploma / Other Certificate in Tours & Travel from a recognized institution is mandatory


RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Ability to handle effectively all aspects of Tour Operations such as itinerary planning, reservations, tour quotations, and customer service

  2. Must possess knowledge of different inbound and outbound destinations

  3. Should have a thorough knowledge of the East African Tourism product & designing of International itineraries and costing

  4. Design flexible tour packages, excursions, safaris, and other related services in regards to tours to meet the needs of different clients

  5. Manage customer inquiries and aim to exceed their expectations

  6. Evaluate and recommend tours and travel costing that are competitive in the industry

  7. Explore and identify new business opportunities in a competitive and rapidly changing industry

  8. Ensure client quotations are followed up for sales conversion

  9. Research and constantly source for interesting product packages to meet consumer demands

  10. Write & translate itineraries. Brief clients before a trip to ensure smooth travel

  11. Liaise with hotels and airlines for group bookings

  12. Liaise with tour operators/partners in other destinations


 


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor’s or Diploma Degree or Diploma in Tourism, Travel, Hospitality or any related discipline from a reputable university

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a travel agency

  • Experience in liaising with international travel agents/partners

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Self – motivated, Confident and outgoing personality

  • Ability to multi-task and get things done to completion

  • A Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent networking and prospecting skills
