Salary: Kes. 150,000/- to Kes. 200,000/-

Key Duties and Responsibilities
●    Lead and Manage the Transport and Logistics Department and ensure smooth running of the department operations at all times.
●    Negotiate contracts and freight rates on behalf of the company and ensure their implementation.
●    Ensure proper adherence to Delivery On Time (DOT) schedule.
●    Coordinate and ensure efficient and satisfactory loading and offloading of all products.
●    Ensure the trucks are conforming to the standards and requirement of the customers i.e., to make follow up on calibration, validity of insurances and licenses for both trucks and company, TLBS, A.A certification.
●    To be the focal point on all company legal and insurance matters by ensuring that any such matter arising is relayed to the company lawyers at the earliest opportunity and with minimum delay with follow up to completion.
●    Be the liaison on all insurance matters with insurance companies and ensure all insurance matters are reported and closed on time.
●    Supervise the daily monitoring of trucks movement and performance in terms of orders.
●    Execute and strictly monitor delays, customer/public complaints and provide prompt resolution.
●    Ensure the trucks are properly utilized and that anticipated revenue targets are realized.
●    Liaise with the client and drivers to ensure smooth delivery of products and to
●    Manage client relationships and maintain cordial working relations/partnership.
●     Follow up with drivers and depot officers to ensure that all delivery documents are submitted accordingly.
●    To be in charge of Customer service pillar for all hauler Audits.
●    Deal with all public relations issues of the company.
●    Any other duties delegated by the Managing Director.

Job Knowledge/Skills/Experience
•    Minimum 5 years work experience as a Transport and or Logistics Manager
•    Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
•    Demonstrable track record of successful distribution and logistics management
•    Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
•    Proficient in standard logistics software
•    Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
•    Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
