Vacancy: Trailer Driver
Location: Thika
Start date: Immediately
Salary: Consolidated gross of Kshs. 28,000
We are a leading hardware in Thika is seeking for a truck driver who will ensure that prompt and timely delivery is made and goods are delivered in good condition.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Driving all vehicles assigned in a safe and lawful manner.
- Ensure delivery of goods to clients in a safe and timely manner
- Monitor, detect and report all malfunctions for repair and maintenance.
- Ensure proper and timely maintenance of vehicles.
- Completing all required documentation before departure and after arrival
- Ensure vehicle assigned have proper and up to date documentation.
- Ensure cleanliness of all vehicles assigned
- Ensure that the vehicle is serviced and well maintained
- Customer service and ensuring proper communication
Required skills and Competencies:
- KCSE Certificate holder
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a trailer driver
- Certificate of good conduct – Not older than 3 months
- Valid driving license Class BCE
- Knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance
- Good understanding of the NTSA Act
- Work experience in a vibrant delivery sector.
- Thorough knowledge of road safety procedures
- Thorough knowledge and strict observation of traffic signals, rules and regulations
