Job Description
Job Summary
Office is responsible for the operation of the accounting department including preparation of accounting books in compliance with International Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards and supervision of the assistant accountants.
- Minimum Qualification: Bachelor
- Experience Level: Mid level
- Experience Length: 5 years
Job Description/Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
● Supporting the Finance Manager with the ongoing preparation of monthly closings and preparation of management reports.
● Enforcing internal financial control systems
● Preparing PAYE, VAT and other statutory returns and ensuring that taxes are paid properly and on time.
● Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
● Perform stock reconciliations.
● Preparation of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reconciliations with the General Ledger.
● Regular update of the Fixed Assets register and reconciliation with the General Ledger
● Prepare and investigate exception reports.
Key Qualifications
● CPA Part 2 certified and is actively pursuing Part 3
● Over 5 years experience in a similar role or a large organisation.
● Proficient in accounting packages deployed by the organisation.
● Degree in Finance, Economics or Business related courses is an added advantage
