Job Description
A Restaurant in Ruiru Minicipality, Kiambu County is seeking to recruit competent and skilled cooks talented in a variety of dishes both African and Continental Dishes.
Reports to: Chef
Role Objective: Weigh ingredients, cook and garnish dishes both African and Continental. Experience in pastry making, and preparation of both hot and cold food is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Ability to cook delicious meals and accurately use recipes as instructed
- Arrange and garnish dishes
- Follow proper kitchen sanitation/ hygiene at all times
- Ensure the kitchen utensil and working environment is clean at all times.
Qualifications / Education
- Diploma in Food Production from a Recognized Institution
- At least 2 – 4 years of experience in the hot kitchen
- Excellent knowledge in food preparation (African and Continental) handling and storage procedures
- Able to confidently operate kitchen equipment and organized
Person Specification
- A mature and organized individual with excellent communication skills and a team player able to work under pressure
