Job Title: Sea Food Plant Manager – Mogadishu, Somalia
Reports to: Director

Location: Somalia, Mogadishu

Job Purpose:
Seafood Plant Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful running of the processing plant, will help maintain the success of our client’s business by managing the complex and ever-changing daily operations of the plant.
Duties and Responsibilities.
- Drawing up of Production Schedule; Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure quality products are produced for our customers
- Optimization of plant equipment and available labor in order to increase production capacity and decrease costs
- Maintain quality standards while devising and implementing new processing procedures
- Assisting with the logistics of all incoming and outgoing products
- Collect, maintain and analyze production data
- Planning production schedules involving both materials and respective labor requirements
- Ensuring that all safety precautions and standards are taken and adhered to
Desired Experience & Qualification
- University Degree in food production and safety or related field.
- 5 years’ experience in a seafood production
- Strong budgeting, planning, and resource allocation skills
- In-depth understanding and knowledge of the Fishing and Marine Industry
- Thorough knowledge of plant safety, OSHA, and HACCP requirements
- Proven track record of improved results in the areas of quality, safety, service and cost.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- High accountability with a demonstrated ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
